2013 Flying Motorcycle

Australian engineer Chris Malloy (Chris Malloy) argues that it is the dream of several generations of readers and viewers fiction books science fiction movie. Because he created already fully working prototype flying motorcycle - Hoverbike.

The future starts today! Of course, this phrase is relevant every day, every hour. And over the past few decades, a huge number of technical innovations, which in the Middle Ages were only possible in science fiction: PDAs, mobile phones, holograms. Here soon, you may be one more device, long known to us from the fiction - a flying motorcycle. In any case, an engineer from Australia, Chris Malloy said that he created the world's first working prototype of this unusual vehicle.

In order to achieve this, he took two four-engine power of 80 kW each and join them to produce thrust screws. This, according to technical calculations, should allow Hoverbike to rise to a height of three kilometers and speeds of up to 278 kilometers per hour.  However, such a height and speed Hoverbike really do not need. The average altitude of this bike, as expected, Chris Malloy, will be from one to five meters.

So far, Malloy spent only the first test of a flying motorcycle, during which time the bike was attached to the ground by four ropes. But in the near future, he plans to conduct and complete, full-scale flights Hoverbike, equipping it for the safety of a parachute.  If these tests are successful, Chris Malloy plans to sell motorcycles flying Hoverbike to 40 thousand dollars a piece. Capacity of the same market it estimates a thousand motorcycles a year.
